Business Development Representative

US - New York City (Hybrid) or Charlotte, NC (remote) · Full-time

About The Position

The TailorMed network is powered by a suite of advanced solutions designed to proactively identify patients who need help the most, match them to all available financial resources, and most importantly, make it easy for patients to utilize those resources.

We are seeking a Business Development Representative who will be responsible for generating and qualifying leads to fill our sales pipeline. You’ll be the first point of contact for prospective clients, helping to educate them on our offerings and qualifying their fit. This role is ideal for a self-starter with excellent communication skills, a go-getter attitude, and the resilience needed to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify potential leads through various channels, including LinkedIn, email, and outbound calls
  • Conduct high volumes of cold calls and emails to engage prospective clients and qualify interest
  • Assess the needs and potential fit of leads for our solutions, ensuring high-quality leads are passed to the sales team
  • Build initial rapport and establish relationships with key stakeholders at potential client organizations
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to refine messaging and strategies, providing feedback on what resonates with prospects
  • Track and report on key metrics, such as call volume, response rates, and meetings set

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in sales, customer service, or a similar role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable with cold calling and engaging new prospects
  • High level of motivation, self-discipline, and attention to detail
  • Proactive problem-solver with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) is a plus
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn, email marketing, and other lead generation tools is a bonus
