At TailorMed we are working to re-invent financial navigation. We’re hiring a superhero Financial Navigator and you just might be the star that we need! 

TailorMed, a fast-growing startup, was founded with a personal mission to help patients and healthcare Providers tackle the financial challenges of care delivery. TailorMed’s platform automatically identifies alternative funding opportunities that help patients afford their care, and it will be your job to connect patients with those opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Be the face of TailorMed to our customers and patients, live ,demonstrate and grow our company values and help improve financial outcomes for providers and patients
  • Using our platform, evaluate patients for available assistance including Federal and State subsidies or programs, disease-specific assistance programs, patient assistance programs, and local community resources
  • Conduct  virtual consultations with patients and gather information to support applications
  • Complete applications on patients behalf and track status until a determination is made, maintaining communication with the patient
  • Collaborate with providers to ensure the smooth running of the service 
  • Escalate issues internally and with the provider if needed, to ensure swift resolution
  • Act as a super-user for the TailorMed platform identifying enhancements  to improve user experience and patient outcomes
  • Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance 
  • Meet productivity and quality standards

Requirements

 

  • Lead with compassion and act with confidence

  • Superb written and communication skills
  • High level of initiative and ability to work independently
  • Ability to effectively communicate with newly diagnosed applicants , who may be very emotional, angry, overwhelmed, etc.
  • Ability to work in a high volume caseload environment and deal effectively with rapidly changing priorities
  • Desire to be involved in building this function and to be a valued member of a growing team

 

Expectations of our superhero include:

 

  • 3-5 years experience in a customer facing role ideally in a healthcare setting
  • Prior start-up, healthcare or corporate experience 
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs

 

Superpowers – desirable but not required

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent career experience 
  • Knowledge of health insurance rules/regulations
  • 2-5 years of experience in a financial advocacy role
  • Experience using Salesforce
